The equarions themselves didn't kill people, the bombs did. No autopsy form in the history of mankind has been completed with the words "Differential equations" in the "Cause of death" field.
People too often overestimate the power of words and naively believe they can talk their way or write their way into or out of anything. Well, at some point, they're going to find out that they really can't. At some point, they will find their words have zero power. At some point, someone will say "No" to something they ask for. At some point, their words will be denied, doubted, disbelieved, dismissed, or completely ignored. Have you ever heard the phrases "Talk is cheap" or "You're all talk"?
Batman knows how powerful bullets are because he had to watch both his parents die in a hail of gunfire. If you had witnessed the same thing, you'd have a hole in your heart that will never be filled while you are still alive, and you would have nightmares about it probably for the rest of your life. Your life would never be the same. And you would never believe anyone who tells you "Differential equations are more powerful than bullets."
