And btw, Adam is doing heaven and hell a favor with his exterminations. By exterminating the sinners, he is fixing overpopulation issues and prevents rapists and murderers from meeting with their victims in heaven.

No. But being a pedo, murderer or rapist is something that cannot be forgiven. And many sinners in hell are unironically either 1, 2 or all those 3 things.

Are you sure that it's not just hell perverting them? The show leans onto the real world, so unless you're saying that 90% of sinners here on earth are rapists, murderers or pedophiles, you don't have an argument.

The exterminations are made in order to control overpopulation in hell. And Adam is right about the problem with Charlie's idea of "redemption". A lot of people in hell are simply too evil to be redeemed or simply don't want to change. And by forbidding them from entering heaven, Adam is basically preventing murderers and rapists from meeting with their victims in heaven. And for the record, Charlie should be more focused on helping the hellborn (aka her ACTUAL people) than some sinners who are in hell for a reason.

Oh yeah, now that I think about it is weird that Charlie doesn't want to help the actual residents of hell.

And even more weirder: She chooses to help sinners, who are human souls who went to hell for doing bad things in life, over the hellborn who as stated earlier are her ACTUAL people.

Characters like Valentino and Alastor are perfect examples of the problem with Charlie's idea of redemption. Literally most people in hell are extremely evil and will rarely seek redemption. They went to hell for a reason!!

And lets face it, doing some good deeds wont compensate for a life of sinning. Redemption starts with repent. Something most sinners will not do.

You know Sir Pentious' redemption would have felt more believable if he was actually going through a character arc reflecting on his past and repenting for his sins.

The arc was quick, a bit dirty, but it existed. Besides, he wasn't really seen much anyway.

That explains why his redemption felt bland.

What DO you like about the show?

The concept, character designs and some song. What I hate is the bad writing and how awful the worldbuilding in the hellaverse has become.

And he was a sinner who did bad things in life and still did in hell. The only reason why he got redeemed was because Charlie motivated him. And even then thats still not enough to go to heaven. A life of sinning cannot be compensated with a few good acts, and redemption beggins with repenting for ones sins, which Sir Pentious has not been seen doing.

Nah, that was an awful retcon. Originally in the pilot it was stated that the exterminations where done to prevent overpopulation in hell, they just decided to add that in the Episode 1 to make heaven look like "the bad guys", even though they are far from it. And if hell where to rise up against heaven, woudnt that make hell the bad guys?? (I mean its bad enough that said hypothetical army is composed primarliy by bad people. But trying to use it to attack heaven?? Wow, thats evil.)

OR The narrative is changed to give the feeling you've been lied to more energy. You know, exactly the thing the show tells us?

And what exactly have the audience been lied about??? Hell is mostly filled with bad people, and overpopulation is an issue there so of course exterminations have to take place. And again trying to attack heaven using an army of horrible people has to be one of the most vile things ever.

Why would sinners deserve to die? How is an executor better than the murderer he is executing? If you kill someone because they have killed someone, it makes you no less an unrighteous murderer than the person you killed. Isn't heaven supposed to be good and forgiving? Suffering is a better punishment than death. Suffering is versatile.

That just makes Lilith look like the villain, with Charlie basically following on her mother's villainous footsteps.

In the pilot we where promised a show with decent quality and good writing. This is not what we where promised.

And as for Helluva Boss, it was supposed to be a dark comedy series about assassins. Instead, we got a telenovela with poor writing.

Lmao Stolas was being a hypocrite in that speech. He literally demonized Blitzo for ''ruining their relationship'' even though he was the one who started the relationship based on transactions. Not to mention he also treated Blitzo as a sex toy. Stolas has no right to trash talk Blitzo when he has done as much as bad as Blitzo.
