Because of new advances in technology, it is now possible to actually store the entire "Bill Nye The Science Guy" series on a single disc. All 100 episodes were shot in standard definition resolution (720 by 480 pixels), meaning you can put four half-hour episodes on a single DVD disc (which holds 4.7 gigabytes). Folio Photonics has developed an optical disc that can hold a whole terabyte (1000 gigabytes of data). That would allow all 100 episodes to be stored on a single disc with plenty of room to spare, because the whole series would use up only 125 gigabytes.
