Ah... Another childhood classic. As many did and still continue to do, I grew up on both the works of Lewis Carroll and the original Disney film, and both are amazing. Some of the most whimsical and brain-bending content ever put into children's literature, which is a good thing because that's what this artist wants to break into, which I'm sure she will do as effortlessly as she does everything else. When I was little, I wished I could escape into Wonderland myself, so many beautiful colours and exciting characters, and this illustration makes me feel like I am there myself, watching the rabbit hop past me in his signature hurried fashion. She has perfectly captured his movement and anxiety, and, again, it looks like something straight out of the cartoon. I can only imagine pushing play and watching him hop along to get to the tea party. His expression, his fur, and the color in the back are amazing. It's amazing how seamlessly she can go from this cartoon perfection to her next work, a realistic snowy owl, just like that and manage to make both smashing.
