I didn't realize that people out there didn't realize he said he would cure cancer.

To me it was just another rambling, incoherent mess of a statement from a confused, but well meaning elderly man.

There are so many statements like that; it's hard to track them all.

Honestly, I think when Joe Biden said, "If elected, I'll cure cancer," he likely used hyperbole to convey his commitment and determination to significantly advance cancer research and treatment, much like when people say "Vaccines stop you from getting the virus you're vaccinating against." to emphasize their effectiveness on a broader scale.

For those who aren't aware, hyperbole is a rhetorical device where the speaker intentionally exaggerates a statement for emphasis or effect, rather than intending it to be taken literally.

Okay, when Biden uses "hyperbole" it's excused. Got it! 👍

It's hard to keep track of what some politicians are allowed to say while others are not, depending on which party they represent.

I think your definition of hyperbole is incomplete. In colloquial usage, hyperbole is not only when someone exaggerates for effect (which implies they're in control of what they're saying) but when they're on the spot or nervous and it comes out as nervous banter often at a high rate of speaking.
In other words, they're so nervous they don't know what they're saying in certain situations. Kamala is quite prone to that. But I guess that's okay because she's a lib. The press won't call her on that type of rambling any more than it ever did for Biden.

No, he did in fact say that on his campaign trail. Even I was like "Joe, you shouldn't'a said that."
