Man, if Lewis Carroll were still with us today, he'd most certainly hire this up-and-coming talent to illustrate the Alice books. Her adoration for this movie is on full display between this piece and her subsequent illustration of the White Rabbit. How many different shades were used on the rose tree? Cartoon illustrations do give more leeway in the sense that not every object has to be photorealistic, and I'm not saying that it is, but in this genre, it would be perfectly acceptable to merely draw a green cluster and call it the leaves of a tree, yet this artist always goes above and beyond, even when she attempts cartoon illustrations. Even if it is done in a stylized manner, you can see every individual leaf, man. Although she alternates between varying styles of cartoon and realism across her body of work, even when she goes cartoon, she never uses that as an excuse to make a lesser effort. She takes her Disney illustrations as seriously as she takes her original works and her portraits, and that just showcases her dedication to the craft and her passion and drive to do what she does. If I could speak with her now, I'd tell her to never stop, darling. Please don't stop because if you do, you'd be doing yourself and all of us a tremendous disservice.
