Hell yeah man. First game for me, I remember beating it at 3 am in a hilton.

Same. I remember beating it around 2 years after I got because I didn't know I had to use Surf to get to the Elite Four.

It really was. The anime really carried Gen 6, even though XY are still my favorite Pokémon games
