True
I mean it's a problem to the extent of missing out on allegedly the "nicest feeling" part of life, according to many.
I wouldn't see it as a problem if it was strictly romantic, but I don't even love my family. I couldn't raise a kid well because I wouldn't be able to love them for example
Then don’t have kids. It’s a horrible world to bring a kid into at this point in time anyway. I wouldn’t want to be a kid in 2024.
But that’s good. Now it’s not a matter of “don’t worry the right person will come along” (that right person doesn’t exist). But not loving your family is something to definitely fix about yourself. It’s a different kind of love.
Whoever told you love is the nicest feeling in life has probably never had the peace of mind that comes with having no financial stress. Love isn’t a feeling at all.
True, having kids was a bad example anyways, i dont want to in the first place.
Right, its that im most worried about.
Interesting. Well I have a while yet to have to deal with financial stress, but its one of the main reasons im not looking forward to being an adult whatsoever.
Love is a choice
Love is a choice only those smart enough to tune into their brain rather than heart should consider
Many people make the choice
But it's true - it's not for everyone
For me, it's a state of being rather than a feeling.
I could live life without it, but having known it I'd feel slightly emptier than I do already.
It's almost ethereal in the right situations, but in the wrong ones the downsides are horrendous.
I see
It's exactly that line of thinking that makes me feel stupid too
The inability to even make that choice, had i even a chance to.
And thats precisely it, im conflicted. My entire philosophy and way of life is based around living fully, and i cant exactly f**king do that if i feel at all empty. On the contrary its nice being more or less mentally invincible to some of life's tragedies, I know people would kill to be in my situation.
I just don't know, I hate not knowing, and knowing theres a problem i haven't and don't seem close to solving for so incredibly wrong makes me feel like im missing something obvious to literally everybody else, im just too ignorant to see it.

Self discovery is a thing that in practice can take a long time
It's not about knowing all the answers
It's about getting to the answers the right way
I've tried, but I just hate subjecting myself to that much of a routine
It's yet another responsibility to keep track of, and its always proved more trouble than its worth

Try keeping a small notepad and pen on hand, and writing down how you're feeling and what made you feel that way when you're distressed or uncomfortable.
You don't have to have a specific time in your day, and it doesn't have to be long
Even a sentence or two is sufficient
It just feels like even more shit im forced to do. Its just so incredibly obnoxious to keep track of, even without dates, times, etc.
And I hate pulling the "haha neurodivergent" card for fear of it sounding like an excuse, but ADHD doesn't exactly help when it comes to that kind of routine and organization.

What is it exactly that stresses you out about tasks?
Mostly the pressing feeling and stress of managing everything. Having to second guess over and over again how much you're missing if anything at all, and having to set aside extra time to look out for things youre meant to do that are easily missed

Perhaps try writing yourself a schedule so that you know exactly what time to get specific things done, and scheduling breaks in between the tasks that bring you the most stress
