This is a good mindset to have.
It comes off as quite rude and personally it makes me uncomfortable to hear about this.
Towards the end of the previous school year, I performed a concert in the spring. Low sleep combined with high stress however caused my tics to become extremely prominent. Days later one of my friends told me their mother was making fun of them behind my back. Of course I would look cuckoo trying to defend myself. To talk about someone rudely behind one's back is to hide in a veil of ambiguity. Is someone lying? Or can one be manipulated into looking like a loose cannon? Can these statements load a gun and chamber it too? It really is a very ambiguous and shady protection to live under. And to confront it is to gain negative attention.
