i wish i had a real studio mic

for the issue of not knowing how to play piano-
learn some scales. i recommend D Flat, B Flat and E Flat. C Major is the easiest to learn of course. then just combine notes in a single scale.

i offer advice from being trained on synthesizer and bellkit.

also just head into a closet or bathroom with your phone. those mics usually suffice. i have recorded music on a 3ds before. you can with anything above 200.

i cant think of a solution other than to roll with it. anyway when your music does numbers you can buy something better. after all good music is god music despite the mic. in fact, one can use terrible mics for effect, such as in stockholm syndrome. a verse features mark hoppus screaming at the top of his lungs through a shower at a low end 1950s mic. perhaps a sound like that will give a rough or melancholy or menacing feel.

Try FL Studio and if you’ve got a powerful rig, Ableton LIVE
also get a MIDI keyboard
I have one but I lost the connector (sad)

Midi is annoying to learn but can help

GarageBand will probably mark which notes are in tune (don't quote me in that I'm used to Ableton Live and FL Studio)
