song night is a tradition in which we relyricise songs to fit band. for example "dick in a box" becomes "sticks in a box" (the winning song this year).
a dot is a small area in which during shows winds march (im pit, so i play drum set and keyboards and i dont march).
toms are tenor drums. this weird word for it comes from my sheet music. the cadence.
mcba is michigan's organization making marching shows competitive.
flight v is the designation for a very small band. for comparison, detroit would fall under flight i (if they were allowed to play, but they aren't because they cause fistfights constantly. they are merely used for famous reference).
