I see what you did there! Lol...long story: The local hockey team has a promotion that if they score twice in the 2nd period everybody gets a voucher for a free taco. Our seats are behind the visitors goal in the second period and a couple of years ago the guy sitting next to us started taunting the visiting goalie ("Give up two goals and I'll buy you lunch!", "We want tacos!" etc.). After a few games he started showing up with a taco hat. Now there's a kid that shows up in a taco suit.

That’s a cool promotion, and I think the fans are crazy and fun enough to wear the hat and the costume :-)

When the home team scores 4 goals they give out vouchers for free subs and show a video of Feist singing "One, two, three, four" with the Sesame Street Muppets. The games are always entertaining.

What a fun atmosphere to be in.
It sounds so “old fashioned” to still be in a setting like that. Good for the team and the fans for keeping fun :-)

There's another tradition that "Taco Guy" started: when the visiting team (for instance The Portland Winterhawks) successfully kill a penalty the penalized player leaves the penalty box and the announcer says, "The Portland Winterhawks are back at full strength". The crowd then yells, "And they still suck!" followed by "Taco Guy" (and me depending on how much beer I've had) yelling, "Just Like Biden!".
