I'm pissed off at Mattel for doing this, they announced this Thomas movie back in 2020 and they haven't annouced any updates on this Thomas movie. They only just recently announced this Bob the Builder movie and seem to be giving it their full attention by announcing that pop star Jennifer Lopez producing it, Bob is being played by a Latino actor and the film is set in Puerto Rico because a pop star directing a kid's movie like Bob the Builder is just such a random absurd thing that's likely to cause a controversy in the media and a Latino actor playing Bob seems like another one of those race-swapping tactics much like how Disney did with their latest films to cause a controversy. The Marc Forster Thomas film is much better in my view because Marc Forster directed the Winnie the Pooh movie Christopher Robin, a very well received kid's film about an iconic character, which makes a lot more sense than something as random as Jennifer Lopez producing a Bob the Builder movie. Thomas the Tank Engine also has a hell of a lot of lore to it, it was originally a series of books called The Railway Series written by Anglican Clergyman Reverend Wilbert Awdry for his son Christopher Awdry and the books are based on real-life events in the history of British Railways and the Thomas engines are modeled after real-life British locomotives. I imagine the Marc Forster Thomas film would basically be the Christopher Robin of Thomas, just like Christopher Robin but with Thomas and his Friends instead of Winnie the Pooh and his friends and Reverend Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher Awdry instead of Christopher Robin and his family.
