You can essentially already do that if you pay for pro. Gifs 2 minutes long are basically short videos.

Ya needa pay for pro, mate. Plus, imgflip is a bootstrapped company. With Imgflip’s current financial situation (Basically 2-4 employees) and lower workforce AND less cloud storage, I think they may never add this feature for free users. Storing vids is pretty expensive, you know.
