I don’t think you get how Christianity works… God FORGIVES people for their sins because he does not believe in punishment. Also, people have absolutely no control over which people they are attracted to, so saying they will be punished by god for simply “not changing” is pretty vile

You are correct God will forgive those who do not act on same-sex attratction even if they struggle with it because he loves them just the same. But one who displays or acts on those disordered attractions will suffer natural consequences in the end. Hence the meme being pointed at haughtiness that is demonstrated by this certain group. It was meant to be light-hearted.

Yeah I know what the meme was trying to say, and I agreed that pride in itself is a sin, but the comment I was replying to just left a bad taste in my mouth by saying that being attracted to the same sex is a sin, because in reality it isn’t. I have nothing against your meme or you in general, I just think the comment made by the other individual could have been worded much better.

Take a look at Leviticus 20:13 it says explicitly: "if a man lies with a male as with a woman, they have committed an abomination; the two of them shall be put to death; their bloodguilt is upon them." which could have been the reason he thought so

take a look at any other leviticus line like "Having Slaves = Good" or "You can beat your wife, no one gives a F*ck" i ovbuiosly (not great at spelling) simplified these but i mean it literally explains itself
