At this point the lore is just a suggestion. GW is trying too hard too make certain groups happy, soon their gonna say f**king rowboat enderman is gay.

I go off of like 7th/8th ed lore.

My favourite part in the lore is army organisation and logistics anyway. Then trying to make an army that could be considered lore accurate.

That was always boring to me. I always preferred 40k to be GRIMdark. My troops always were gritty, had blood on them. Its not about realism, it never was, at least to me. It was always about the horrors of war and chaos. Hundreds of thousands dying a day for a single meter of ground is what it was about to me. Titans being thousand foot tall war machines that can destroy cities in one blast. It's all about the epicness and horror to me.
