For some businesses, inflation is beneficial such as commodities and those with large debts. For others, inflation is a problem especially those who need labor and commodities. A lot of restaurants are failing. Business with the government is always profitable. "Record profits" is a simplification. Retired folks with savings are hit the worst with inflation.

Otherwise it's not socialism. A socdem welfare state isn't socialism. The USSR was not socialist. China and Venezuela definitely aren't socialist. North Korea definitely isn't socialist either I don't even know what the f**k is going on there.

The "workers" have never owned the means of production and they never will. "Real" socialism is impossible to implement. Every attempt has failed. So let's forget about it and stick with capitalism until we find something better. I'm glad we could work this out.

The US government and corporations are the same thing. The corporation bought the government a long time ago. Where have you been?
