you know what you should do
study the film "nothing new on the western front". it was a controversial film adaptation of a book by the same name by a former ww1 german soldier, that provides a realistic, bleak and authentic look into ww1 but just war in general.
also i have an idea for a mission, assuming youre doing it cod style. try to get a civilian mission, i find those to be extremely interesting.

an idea for a fictitious mission would be:
the screen goes black. you are introduced as german private jacob gable, a civilian who has been recently drafted. the screen shows you walking out of your house down to the recruiters who wander during an honorable parade in celebration of veteran soldiers. fast forward a week. as you are given your uniform and rifle at the training camp, you partake in a drive to the western front where you are one of thousands of men. you are fed and are put to rest. you wake up to the sounds of gunfire, yelling and explosives and are picked up by private otto meyer. you quickly arm yourself and text comes on the screen. it reads. "welcome to war. you must fight for your survival and your country. you are not expected to survive." you quickly run out of ammo, and are forced to take cover or accept your inevitable fate as another casualty in a big war.
i stole this bleak hopeless idea from a mission in cod: world at war, which is heralded as a very genuine, authentic and dark shooter game that is not afraid to appear dark, muddy, cynical or legitimately depressing.

i honor your idea to make a ww1 fps game as it is not an idea often executed. if you would tell me the title when it is done i shall purchase it quickly and work through the story. i wish you good luck and fortune.

Wow, dang. I saw the movie all quiet on the western front and yeah it was amazingly realistic (even tho there was some historical innacurracies but only spottable if youre a litteral history expert). Im making this game on roblox studio cuz I already have some experiences with lua (name of the code language) and the dev community is really helpful. Im making this game cuz we are approaching the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the war and I wanted to make an hommage to my 2 great grandfathers (one alsace german deserter to not kill french people and one french front medic who earned the war cross and légion d'honneur for both ww1 and ww2.). I was reading the memories of the medic great grandfather and I thought that not many games of ww1 that are well made are talking about those horrors. thats what got me into that project. Thank you for your support.

im going to honestly just pay you for doing it once i get a job. i feel like it being free on roblox would be too cheap for what seems to be a brilliant idea.

ill help with animations gladly, ill just buy cheap spring airsoft replicas and learn to reload and fire them and observe and create the minute animations.

if this is going to be realistic i have always wanted to make a hyperrealistc graphic game. ill learn heaps and work hard for you if youd like.

the only problem is im waiting on a friend to gift me his old laptop. ill make sure to get good animations and perhaps create a story based around a fictitious character with you. i really hope you hear me out and over discord lend me excerpts of their writings to help. im begging to help with graphic design.

Im not looking to do a very hyperrealistic game like Rolling Thunder, its gonna be R6 cuz Im good at animating those but the realism would be more into the effects like explosions and gas (yes, gas), and maybe lighting for weather and mud textures. ima look into old base designs on history sites and look for good designs. i also want the story to have points of view on both sides to tell such a story. maybe we could ask around for german, french and british povs from people with veteran relatives?

i dont have much animation prowess but i will soon get some. maybe if you live near me i could convince my mom to go to a gas station or park with a notebook, a phone and some quick revives and we could look through sources and create soldier povs? if we get a good roblox game i think we should also make a native pc version and sell it on steam for 20 bucks. cheap game? innovative concept? i may not have a brain, gentlemen, but i have an idea.

and i will argue about good graphics. to sell the realistic, bleak vibe we should put in a mucky color theme and some nice graphics. but yeah, ig it should start out as a game.

what do you think multiplayer would be like? i kind of want a realistic two shot ground war in a large city.
