Moyen Age : The French were warriors and won thousands of battles against multiple enemies. 1700-1900 : Napoleonic forces conquered europe and it took multiple decades to stop them. And the French helped the "Americans" claim their independance against england. WW1 : French didnt surrender to germany, espiecially at Verdun where even under heavy artillery fire that where supposed to wipe their trenches completly, they stood strong and never let a single german pass through their lines "On ne passe pas" / "They shall not pass" as they said. WW2 : The French government (bullshit at the time) decided to surrender after 6 weeks of hard fight, the troops never wanted to surrender. And at dunkirk, they held the line to cover the british evacuation until they were all safe while they got captured for their act of heroism. My great grand father refused to leave an hospital full of woundeds when the enemy was only getting closer and closer. he saved 162 woundeds and earned the war cross at the end of ww2. And remember the French resistance who is the most famous resistance in history for all the civilians who sabotaged, killed, decrypted, stole and died for the freedom of France. Millions of French soldiers and civilians fought like Lions for centuries, conquered europe two times and now because of a simple 6 weeks and no participation of Iraq war, you say Frenchies surrender all the times. If you had the guts to respect the souls that fought like hell to defend their country and died doing it, you wouldnt ashame yourself saying that.
