Heartgold/Soulsilver moment

don't they grow back or smth?

i could've sworn sun and moon or some other game said that

HeartGold/SoulSilver is 3 gens off from Sun and Moon and is the remake of Gen 2. Slowpoke tails do grow back, but in the game you are forced to go down into a well and stop a bunch of grunts from hacking the tails off of stolen and native slowpoke to progress through the game.
