The fact is he died a registered Republican. I am a registered Democrat. I support responsible ownership of firearms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment. He probably differed in his opinion about what that means. The facts suggest that you don't care about facts in drawing your conclusion.
A better argument for you might go like this: Anyone can register as a Republican. This guy was victimized by bullies relentlessly almost all of his school years. He was obviously an unbalanced person who sought infamy for reasons not shared by most people regardless of politics.
