She's not the first person from Pepsi to be hired to run an organization that is vastly different from Pepsi. PepsiCo CEO John Sculley was recruited by Steve Jobs to be Apple's CEO in 1983. Apparently it was because Steve Jobs liked John Sculley's marketing strategy for "The Pepsi Challenge". Steve Jobs asked John Sculley, "Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water, or do you want a chance to change the world?"
