Just like Abby, I'm also unsure of who this is supposed to be, although I remember seeing Deff Leppard ages ago, so my take is that it might be one of them. (I apologize for not remembering the names of the band members or potentially misspelling the name of the band.) Regardless of who this is, the drawing is impeccable. The blend of his frizzy tips and his waves are the real highlight here. Although, as I have mentioned, this is not my scene, I love when this artist draws metalheads / band members because the way she tackles the hair is really something to be seen. The way that his hair is messy enough to have locks all over the place rather than perfectly styled could be done by simply doodling stray wiggly lines all over the page, but she conveyed his hairstyle while still taking care to show off the layers and the waves. His squint must be very difficult to pull off without making the eyes look unnatural, especially in a work of realism as opposed to a simpler character, but it was executed so brilliantly that it is unassuming. It just looks like he possibly had walked out into the Sun, which I'm sure he did to get ready for his gig. What I love about this young lady is that every single piece, original or otherwise, stimulates the imagination and makes us come up with a universe of interpretations, theories, possibilities, and even stories, and, to me, true art is supposed to make one think. It doesn't necessarily have to be deep or philosophical, mind you, but it does have to make you stop and have at least some semblance of thought or intrigue, even if it is just about something within the world of the work itself. That, to me, is good art.
