Shiver, becuz sans cant even beat a f**king child

A child that had the powers of a GOD.
The ability to try again after you die is canon in the Undertale universe, so Sans was canonically f*cked from the start, bc you are essentially guaranteed to beat ANYONE with that power. Shiver doesn't have that ability, but she does have some unique skills that would make this interesting.

Inklings and octolings canonically do that too.

There's a little ghost effect that goes up into the sky when you die in splatoon, then when you respawn it goes down into a little device that you pop out of.

Magic attacks hurt the soul, not the body, which is not reversible without healing items (Shiver does have any) or save points (which Shiver cannot use)

For the sake of this let's say sans' attacks hurt the body rather than the soul. It'll make things simpler and being hit by a bone shooting up out of the ground at high speeds would still hurt quite a bit.

But either way I'm not sure how shiv would be able to hurt sans though since most of her attacks are ink-based and that's only effective against inklings

I guess she could use master mega (the shark) but I'm not sure what other attacks she has

You can't just break the rules clearly laid out by undertale, but ok

I'm just trying to make this make sense with splatoon rules as well because they don't exactly say much about inkling souls.

We can apply some of the same rules as human souls, however there definitely are some differences, like determination power, and the ability to reset.

Inklings are technically part human but if I tell you why that'd be major spoilers for splatoon 3 (specifically the alterna logs)

Part human means their determination would not be as powerful

More determination than a monster

And they're more connected spiritually than biologically

Pretty sure shiver uses that machine during her bossfight so if we say the attacks are physical like I suggested she WOULD be able to respawn

The other 6 humans probably just gave up. Our soul shatters, but the rest stayed intact, they CHOSE to be captured.

They literally spawn with a save point like thing

That's a machine, and is only ever seen recovering physical damage.

Still we still miss the fact, octilings can hide on its own paint to trasspass surfaces and hiding practically on the floor, they have the ability of using a lot of movement and high jumps, that plus the constant poison like damage they can do with the paint makes them fast and a single hit would kill him, some weapons can cover large areas so it would be even harder to evade

Some attacks cannot be avoided by simply moving left or right, and others require knowledge of how the undertale fight system works

Partly, but the thing that makes Sans so difficult is his unpredictable attacks, if you were fighting him for the first time, you'd basically be guaranteed to lose, and since Shiver can't come back from the dead like the player can, she's gonna be pretty screwed

Ink does not make them invincible, and going into the floor won't stop a mega beam or highly damage-potent magic bones.

still, it helps them to improve movement and hiding so they would easilly evade most of the attacks, specially when some are just running in circles

Sans gets tired after 22 turns, and will die in one hit due to his one defense. I highly doubt Shiver has enough Love for karma to even work on her, and also the fact that Shiver can respawn. (The last one is a guess)

It is unknown how KR works, and Shiver is a rather jerk, so karma might affect her

Fax, 22 turns may be the equivalent of 22 fast/medium attacks

The Karma effect wouldnt even apply that much then

And octolings/inklings can respawn after 5-7 seconds and go back to battle like nothing happened

And even like that they dont need healing items they usually heal over the time

Also the fact that the humans reset makes them go back in time, however when inklings respawn they comeback during real time where they left off

It wouldn't do much due to lack of karma

Sans's attacks have no invincibility frames, which is honestly a bigger threat than KR itself. This means that Sans's attacks are honestly more effective

They still can respawn tho
