Mirrim had escaped the mind-numbingly quiet comfort of his home. Abandoned everything he had in life. He was about to leave everything behind and start anew! He lands the ship after a few days, needing to refuel. As he leaves the ship, the sights are beautiful! Lush forests, small villages dotting the ground below. A large city in the distance, and ships glowing bright blue above. Mirrim decides to go to the city, both for fuel and the sights.
He lands at a small rest stop, just outside the city. An old man comes out of a building, offering to refuel the ship. “You can come back in, say, half an hour, get some time to yourself. All that I ask of you is 20¥!” Mirrim hesitantly hands over the money, suspicious of the man’s intentions. The deal seemed too good to be true. But, Mirrim was eager to see the city, and he needed to refuel, so why not kill two birds with one stone?
As Mirrim excitedly took in all the sights, running in every which way, a broad smile crossed his face. The city was dazzling, the streets so clean, they were shining. The buildings shined with such brightness and color. The vehicles on the streets, hovercrafts and cars, were just as colorful and clean. Trees lining the sidewalks shook lightly in the wind. Everything was so different from everything Mirrim knew.
Mirrim stops at a food truck to try some stuff out. While he didn’t NEED food, the Exotic Creator had given him taste receptors for some reason. The food was. F**king. Delicious. After eating, Mirrim decided to head back to the ship. As promised, the old man had refueled it, somewhat to Mirrim’s surprise. Maybe, just maybe, this multiverse wasn’t all liars and cheaters.
Thanking the old man and filled with a new hope, Mirrim continued flying. Where to? He didn’t know. But boy was the multiverse about to find out.
