I don’t mind graphics now, and even some games from 2014 and later look great imo, but with the ability for 8k and even 16k quality we can likely get that high quality games as well.

I guess there are many people with sharper vision than me, and my vision is 20/20.

I noticed an improvement in visual quality going from VHS to DVD. I noticed an improvement going from DVD to Blu-Ray. However, I did not see any improvement when going from 2K resolution to 4K resolution. So I may be alone in saying this, but I do not see the need for 8K resolution or 16K resolution.

Most people probably won’t, but it’s the ability for things go have more detail. You won’t notice that the quality looks much better but it will be noticeably more smooth due to the increase in pixels and details will hopefully, based on game dev’s decisions, be more plentiful and noticeable.
