they have the same stats but you get 3 stacks of potatoes from a single harvest and cook it with a lava bucket rather then getting one stack of wheat from a single harvest and getting 20 bread

you need a very large wheat farm for wheat to be a good food source but a medium sized potato farm will supply you with enough food for any time
