Glyptotherium, giant herbivorous armadillo, and a giant ground sloth feeding on honey locust and Osage orange

So that thing from ice age that as a kid i thought was a prehistoric turtle was instead an armadillo?

I never watch the movie, but probably an armadillo, as I know they had a giant ground sloth in it.

Oh my gosh, I never even saw that character. No wonder, it looks very annoying.

Actually I found out fairly recently that there were giant tortoises the size of Volkswagens living in India up until when everything big became extinct after the last Ice Age. I posted a meme about it here, hopefully I tagged it.

There was a CGI show called The Future is Wild, a speculative evolution documentary which was about life on Earth millions of years after humans disappeared. One creature it featured was the Toraton, a descendant of giant tortoises that was the biggest creature to ever walk the land, even larger than those prehistoric sauropods. That's a picture of it, unfortunately that was the best one I could find. You should watch that so if you haven't seen it, it was really good.

My gosh, I can't believe it's already almost 25 years old. They came up with this after Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Prehistoric Beasts, which are also very much worth watching. There was also speculative ones about life on alien planets.

My first introduction to prehistoric movies was the first Jurassic Park years ago, was even there that i discovered Jeff Goldblum. This show you're talking about now seems pretty interesting, i absolutely love prehistory! It sends me a shive to my back only thinking about how the world have could been before us and the creatures that were around back then

There was actually a new series of Walking with Dinosaurs last year, but it was garbage. I don't know why they bothered. A total waste.

Those animals in my meme actually would still be around right now in North and South America if it wasn't for humans. Imagine, giant armadillos, the largest the size of a Volkswagen, and multiple species of ground sloth sloth ranging from the size of a bear to the size of an elephant. If you saw the animals that were living here till just a few thousand years ago, as well as in Europe and Asia and Australia, etc, it's just so sad.

Humans ruin everything they touch. And i'm afraid they are about to make half of the modern animals disappear too
