It seems weird to me that all of a sudden the Supreme Court is once more interested in the Rule of Law over being subservient to unelected bureaucrats inside the federal government.

I think this may be a reaction to Biden's handlers and leftist representatives talking about packing the Supreme Court. The justices may be laying the groundwork for making that legally impossible. Just spitballing here, though.

Maybe.

Maybe they're just tired of seeing the rule of law being destroyed in this country. That would have to hit close to home for someone who's devoted their life to that profession, regardless of political orientation.

Speaking of which, I believe it's significant that liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson ruled with the majority to strike down thousands of "obstruction" charges in the blatantly unlawful prosecution of January 6 protesters, or anyone who happened to be in DC that day. It sets a precedent (unofficial, such as it is) that maybe the liberal justices can and will rule in accordance with the letter of the law. Who knows? Maybe even the Constitution!

Something's changed in 2024. Sane people, and even a few libs, seem to be thinking that the United States needs to be finished with democrat insanity.
