Because if your denomination wins and gets official support to crush other denominations in the public schools, that's alright with you? Embarrassing for you, and short-sighted.

What makes THIS country great is that the state does not mandate religion. If you want to live in a theocracy, go join one of those nations. More than that, if you are comfortable with forcing this particular expression of religion down kids' throats, then I guess you're equally happy to have the state mandate the Quran, Buddhist scriptures, or Pastafarian ones -- you don't get to choose.

Because they weren't living in a country that promises freedom of religion . . . unlike us. Also, those guys -- they used to hang people who exercised free speech. I'm very glad that the founders of our nation made an effort to guarantee our essential freedoms in the Constitution, and what patriot could want to go back and undo that amazing work.
