Is this situation an example of a contradiction?

First most of these loans are offered to teenagers or barely 18 year olds. Second the loans arnt what screws these students it’s the servicers who constantly are in breach contract such as applying payments to interest that had not yet accrued. (Looking at you Navient!) that will be an albatross around their neck for their entire lives if the servicers got away with it. That would make past owners of indentured servants squeamish.

The other is a long term medical procedure that requires no surgery and decades of therapy until they are a legally an adult at best given the bans on trans healthcare in red states where even 25 year olds are barred from getting health care necessary in pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. All assuming your religious fundamentalist family doesn’t kick you out of the home.

Nope not what I said. Literally at the second sentence I point out a specific example of a service being in breach of contract.

The students who didn't couldn't pay the loans are the ones who breached contract though. Mostly because they spent 4-8 years on useless degrees.

You didn’t read it at all did you…and funny enough colleges have been sued for giving out useless degrees, students won, and servicers still illegally tried to collect on the now non existent debt.

And as I’ve stated before useless/worthless degrees can be discharged in court but that doesn’t stop places like navient from trying to collect.

I paid off my loans, after getting a job with my degree. Had them paid off in 3 yrs by focusing my payments. Responsibly.

I also have had a job since being out oof college NEVER missed a payment for ten years and it’s only thanks to biden that my balance is finally below what I borrowed.

Sounds like you either borrowed too much or didn't pay them off quick enough. I made double payments and didn't buy the latest fad technology and didn't go to the latest movies and didn't eat out as much to do it.

Or here’s a concept shopping around for colleges isn’t like shopping for a car. Where you can find degrees at a big tent event. And there’s limits to how much you can borrow to begin with.

I have not gotten forgiveness on my loan nor will I ask for it. All us students and former students want us to stop being f**ked by a corrupt industry that has ZERO intent of letting us get out of debt.

You should take that energy of not wanting to be ripped off & apply it to how Democrats are poorly running things & the US government in general for making you a slave to a tax plantation.
