you have 500 people seeing your meme. and if each of those 500 users post the same thing and each of them are seen by 1% of the user base then you have between 500(these people see the rickroll 500 times) and 250000 (everyone sees it 5 times) users affected.
there isnt just one stream that people will post it on. say there are 5 streams that users pick between one and five streams to post on. that goes from 500 and 250000 to 500 and 1250000 users affected.
now people will think of it as a trend and join in too. lets say that 1% of people will see it and join in.
that makes between 5 and 2500 joiners each having the same statistics as before.
mind you this is just from one of these you posted alone. imagine what it may be with 10 or 20 itterations of this immage.
