My mom took all my technology away when she found me on discord during 2021 (meant i couldn't talk to any of my irl friends) and then sent me to live with my grandma for months so probably not 💖

Parents should in fact be doing stuff like limiting technology and internet.

I agree parents need to restrict Internet usage but in my case it was an app they literally approved (my mom let me have discord bc i talked to irl friends on it, then she saw me on a call with someone ik online ((which i do admit was bad)) and just blew up at me without explaining why exactly it was wrong which just confused me) and then when they dont slowly let your restrictions lessen as you grow up (im in highschool and only allowed 3 hours a day on my computer, which doesn't allow youtube and I can't get apps on my phone) it gets suffocating and annoying tbh

Real bc all its taught me is how to be sneaky and to rebel more my mom lectured me when she found me talking online to friends my age meanwhile i was getting groomed and she still doesnt know 😭 and I've had like 5 secret devices to bypass all the restrictions she's given me throughout the years
