Since I wrote that, I've learned that using labels isn't helpful. But, if I was to pick one, yes. I am conservative on some issues, liberal on some, progressive on others. This labeling system that people are trying to adopt is problematic for political discourse and destructive for the socio political landscape for our country. Because once those labels are applied and recognized, it becomes too easy to stop listening as everything you need to know is in the label.

My country's government has gone nuts. I hope the people who voted them in are happy.

The National Party is economically liberal, socially conservative. (Centre-right.) The ACT Party is economically libertarian, socially conservative. (Right-wing.) The New Zealand First Party is economically centrist, I guess you could say, although they're all for tearing up our beautiful nature here in Aotearoa in the name of "tapping into our natural wealth." (mining) They're socially conservative. Probably the most out of all these major three right-wing parties. The image should be all you need.
