I’m moving from England, specifically Brighton.

Get ready for the heat then, especially if you're moving to southern California. I've heard that we have a lot of weird slang British people can't understand, I wouldn't know but just expect to get used to some new words. If you're moving to a small town(and by this I mean towns smaller than Brighton) from what I have noticed is that there tends to be more festivals or celebrations. Americans love to party I guess. This is a weird one but there's a bigger culture here, maybe my town is weird but sometimes I hear gunshots in the distance. (I live in a town of about 6,000 people that's bordering a bunch of farmland and mountains, but also a bigger town)
