Dinosaurs were amazing creatures, so sad they disappeared

It truly is.

Sadder, in a way, because it was so close and it was caused by humans, are the extinctions of so-called Ice Age megafauna. I've been looking up that quite a bit lately, and it's depressing.

How did other creatures manage to survive, including more delicate vulnerable ones like amphibians? How about tropical plants? It's not like they hibernated for a few thousand years and then popped up again. Also at least one species of Hadrosaur continue for at least 500,000 years after the extinction event, so......
Seems to be evidence of an impactful cataclysm, but that it was that thoroughly worldwide, or caused by the meteor itself.

I attempt to disagree with them being descendants of dinosaurs, or at least theropods, but some of the points have been apparently disproven, so not sure.
