My reference was the original drawing of Lisa I posted here. During a memechat conversation with that0neguy, we were wondering how good I was at drawing foxes. On the same day, a prompt in Gartic Phone with my class was to draw an "alpha wolf", so I of course completely misinterpreted that and drew a relatively muscular furry WITH MY FINGER because our iPads don't have pens.

Y'know, I once had a furry in my online class, at the beginning and end of the 'livelessons', which are basically like zoom calls but using their own apps, we can freely use a chat, webcams and mics. One of my classmates showed up on webcam I think before or after wearing her fursuit.

And what's funnier the teacher did not know what furries are and she just found it really cute while the student was explaining it. Meanwhile everyone else was spamming OwO in the chat.

Yeah, well the teacher did learn about furries, atleast that they existed anyway. I couldn't even resist flooding the chat OwO myself, not like we get in trouble for spamming since it was free chat at the beginning / end of class. The suit was pretty basic but definitely a real one, I think a white wolf/fox or something idk

Good starting point. I personally never trace because of a thing called plagiarism, but tracing can help yo get a feel for proportions.

I know about plagiarism, and I don't like it ofc. But most of the time when I draw, digitally or not, I just want to have something to show for my idea, basically just tracing and adding on small bits to someone who did it better than me to try and see how tf they made it looks so nice.

Circle for the head. Then I draw the infamous facial cross. Outline the ears. Then you head down and draw circles for the shoulders. Draw a flat triangle between the circles and where you want the lower end of the neck to be.
Then you draw a rectangle for the body and attach the legs. This part does not need to look good.
For the arms, you draw simple lines. Elbows are circles slightly smaller than the shoulders.
When the sketch is done, trace it into the shape you want.

Y'know... I never really got the facial cross thing, I honestly want some drawing guides from you sometime

Another thing: Don't be afraid of roughs. Make sketches of the skeletal structures. For different characters, you can use different colours.

Another thing is that you can use multiple short lines to create longer lines. Drawing one long line often looks unclean, and this technique helps a lot for things like furries.
