The reason they bought Star Wars and Marvel and 20th Century Fox is because they are no longer capable of coming up with original ideas, they ran out of classic public domain stories to make into movies, and they no longer seem to be getting the rights to make any new stories into movies.
At this point, I don't think anything can save Disney.
