Hazel Hayes is a bisexual Irish YouTuber, director, screenwriter, and author.
Hazel began her career working for Google and then YouTube as a manager before becoming a YouTuber herself in 2011. The following year she moved to London where she lived with musician and YouTuber Dodie Clark for many years. And then in 2013, Hazel began her interview series, Tipsy Talk where she interviews popular creators and celebrities while drinking alcohol.
In 2014 Hazel had a short film, Dementia, win a workshop competition. Later, in 2017, she directed the Fullscreen series Prank Me starring Corey Fogelmanis. The series earned her an Excellence in Storytelling award at the 2017 Buffer Festival and a Creator Series of the Year award at the 2018 Summer in the City awards. In 2018 she directed the music video for Dodie’s song Human. Then in 2019, she directed the music video for Anna Akana’s song Disappointment. She would again direct a music video for Dodie Clark in 2021 for Dodie’s song I Kissed Someone.
In November 2018, Hayes announced her debut romance novel, Out of Love which was released, in June 2020. Also in 2020, she began hosting Prime Video Club alongside Munya Chawawa for Amazon Prime Video which is a series that discusses various series and films on the platform. More recently, in 2024, Hazel released another book titled Better By Far.
