Here's a thought: if people would stop buying pieces of dead animals, the people torturing and killing them would stop selling them. Ergo: the animals would not be tortured and killed anymore.

No. Eating meat for survival is not wrong. Breeding and torturing animals on a large scale simply for financial profit is. Humans are the only animal species that do that. Ever seen dolphins run a rabbit farm to torture rabbits and sell rabbit meat to lions?

i agree, hunting, lets say, elephants for there tusks is wrong, but simply eating meat isnt necessarily a bad thing, unless its from endangered animals.
