Health insurance is an amazing thing when it f**king works properly. I have to get surgery here soon, and it has been literal hell trying to communicate between my insurance company and the doctors. To keep personal details personal, I’ll summarize it as “the insurance office is understaffed so calls are slow, long, and they usually put me on the phone with some intern.” Don’t even get me STARTED on the hospital. Because it’s New York and people die every other second, it is basically impossible to sign up for a surgery within a month, and I NEED this surgery in two weeks.
Life sucks rn. I’m financially covered because I’ve gotten a lot of support from family and friends and because Clo’s parents are loaded, but it has not been an easy process recently. I am losing sleep over phone calls that are vital to keep me alive.
