Tens of millions dead because of Stalin alone. Communism is cool in theory, but it never works in practice because not everyone is a good guy that wants everyone to succeed. Some person will always rise up and fill the vacuum of power, because that's all communism does. It creates a vaccuum of power that eventually gets taken up, and no true communist system will ever exist.

Capitalism is an imperfect system that allows almost everyone to thrive, and everyone to at least survive. There will never be a system where everyone is thriving. It is just not possible, or it would have been accomplished already. Unless you, Aritheragdollcat, a 9 year old on a meme website, have a way to solve every problem I just mentioned. Do you?

Who's going to run things? What are you gonna do about crime? Nobody owns anything of their own so I can just take things and they can do nothing? Nobody would be in charge, infrastructure would collapse, food distribution wouldn't exist and billions would starve.

Whether we like it or not, a state HAS to exist. Now, I'm all for a smaller government, however what you're suggesting just isn't possible. Not to mention the people who are in power, the people who could make any of this happen, would never be willing to.

My beliefs are workers owning their work

No CEOs, no bosses, just workers.

Here's the thing though:
1) CEOs don't own the companies, they are people selected by a board of directors to make executive decisions for the company's well being

2) The workers are paid by the company to benefit the company. Their work earns money, which is then used to pay other employees of the company as well. More important work yields higher pay for that employee

If you want to own your own work, you can start a business. If you don't care about your own business, you can work for someone else and they pay you. That is the wonders of a capitalist society
