Damn, spreading actual misinformation and then saying it was for “illustrative purposes” is crazy. I’m pretty sure that if they had any real cases of similar things happening, then they would use them for illustrative purposes instead. They probably only said this after they were called out on their bs too, and wouldn’t’ve said anything otherwise.

This would be a pretty good inside joke, I agree, using “for illustrative purposes only” as a euphemism for spreading misinformation.

I wonder if they’ll say that bombing children was just for “illustrative purposes” next time.
