They have discovered consequences for their irresponsible voting patterns and policies. It's al common sense; and because liberals, progressives, and leftists -- by definition -- are generally lacking common sense, they walk into stupidity like Charlie Chaplain walking into a brick wall.

Oh aye, where the lack of common sense -- or historical knowledge -- is involved, there is no bottom to the perceived depth of outright voter stupidity. Remove the excess wordage, and one would have a viable bumper sticker there.
