Pros:
- being able to backtrack and grind for more lives on other zones
- boost ability which lets you change directions quickly and rush forward without delay
- stunts in the air that fill your boost gauge
- precision platforming in Sonic is never good, but this one felt tolerable for the most part
- music
- Blaze’s story is pretty cool
Cons;
- Boss battles are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Especially Altitude Limit and the final boss. I would grind for 20-30 lives beforehand and barely make it out with 2.
- Altitude Limit second act has way to many parts where you can fall off or miss a turn too easily
- Huge Crisis second act has parts where the ceiling is too short to jump, but you need to jump so you can get across a gap. So it’s chance whether or not you make it.
To be honest, I’d say it’s better than Sonic Mania. It’s not as good as Frontiers or Adventure 1, but it’s been a good time. Despite all the cons I said, they’re nowhere near as bad as Sonic Adventure 2
