Seriously though, how come Mario fans are such chill peeps, while Sonic fans are such snobby brats? It just doesn't make sense!

As a Sonic Fan I can confirm that the Fandom is to be avoided like the plague.

Yeah, ya think? I remember this one time I made a light-hearted Mario joke on a Sonic video, and the Sonic fans got oh-so mad, and started to spam my replies with death threats, threats for me to kill myself, and even threatened to dox me and spread my info online for blackmail purposes, all because I mentioned Mario AS A JOKE. It got so bad that I was forced to delete my comment out of fear for my safety. If that's not enough to convince you how terrible the Sonic fanbase truly is, then idk what will anymore. Just simply saying Mario is enough to get Sonic fans foaming at the mouth with pure, raw, unbridled manchild rage.

Yeah, right? Even I'm a sonic fan, but I'm totally fine if someone says anything Mario-universe related. Fun fact: I actually discovered Mario BEFORE Sonic, and I personally think that in my opinion Sonic is cooler, but that doesn't make me a Mario HATER. Just because I like Sonic doesn't mean that I would send a death threat to someone who says anything MARIO. After all, people have opinions, but the fact that the Sonic Fandom did this to you makes it like an MHA-level fandom 😑 I'm so sorry for what happened to you at that time

Ah, thank you for the condolences, buddy. My point is that some fans are so fixated on Sonic that they will completely ignore or attack anything that isn't Sonic (especially if it's Mario). Not all Sonic fans are like this, but a disturbingly high number of them are (Mostly on Twitter and YouTube)
