Also, separate from our other thread, there's a reason why: The boys in the Hitler Youth trained RIGOROUSLY because they were all told that they were gonna be soldiers, but only the best made it through. These "best" were not just the best physically but also in appearance. They were handsome, young, strong, and hygienic. Literally the best of the best in the looks department.
