He's right. It wasn't until Hitler attacked other countries, mainly Britain, that the rest of the world started to fight back. Up to that point people either said, "While Hitler is evil he wasn't that evil(holocaust)." or flat out ignored what was going on inside Germany. The New York Times killed a story that would've exposed the camps a lot sooner than they were and FDR turned by legit refugee seekers while Nazi infiltrators held a convention at Madison Square Garden.
