Idk, I can get like that about some popular things too. The way people talk about it constantly and make a big deal about if people haven't watched/played/read____ gets annoying. It's the way people act towards a fandom or thing that is annoying to me and idk how genuine they are being because a good portion of those people are going to move on to the next cool thing in a few months. The way they overhyped things just feels sorta really fake and it's annoying/exhausting to deal with them to the point where you don't want to even bother with whatever they are obsessing over. It's even worse when it's something you like and get/got bullied for and then the bullies that did that to you suddenly like that same thing. They’re so fake.
