Names often have a gender assumption attracted to them, however, that doesn't have to be the case. Bethany used to cause me some uncomfortableness, but now I choose to look at my name in the same way as Alice Cooper or Marilyn Manson. They both have names ( that they chose) that are traditionally looked at as feminine names but they don't identify as women. If you would like to change the name you go by, that's ok though too. And I’ll do my best to remember the change in pronouns. :)
